Salam alaik, greetings!!
*gulp* bersawang sudah nampaknya blog ini. now that exam is done (well not entirely) i feel much lighter. okay, i must say, medicine is not like high school or IB! last minute study will never work! and the concept MUST be 'study-to-know', NOT 'study-to-pass'. masa study week, many times air mata mengalir kerana tak tertahan stres study last minute. questions popped in mind:
'where should i start?'
'what? from scratch? oh damn!'
'but i don't have all the time to start from scratch!'
and while studying one particular chapter;
'oh no, byk lagi ni! macam mana ni?!' *panic sambil membelek2 chapter lain yg belom cover*
'it's okay, it's okay, don't panic. take one thing at a time nisa.' i said to myself utk menenangkan jiwa yg resah.
haih, hotak la don't panic. im doomed if i fail. i'll be send back home if i fail. totally doomed! menangis lagi. haha..such a cry baby. dah imagine kena panggil Pak Lan kat ofis MARA kalo fail.
this semester, i have 5 core modules n 1 elective module:
1) musculoskeletal (upper limb)
2) basic tissue and early development (BTED)
3) cell-cell communication (physiology)
4) molecular basis of life (biochemistry)
5) clinical science & healthcare informatics (CSI)
6) matrices & vector (elective)
everything is done n dusted except form BTED module. lepas habis biochem last saturday, rasa lega yg teramat lah sgt2. i wud say biochem ni macam sembelit yg susah nak keluar, tp once out..fuuhhhh....LEGA. this module, mmg semua org takut. i once said it is a difficult module, but coming to think about it again, i think it is just fine. in fact its fun to see how each process correlates with one another. cuma too many things nak hafal in such short time. segala jenis enzyme, cycle, activator, inhibitor, bla.bla.bla. the morning before the exam, i was freakin scared, like really scared since this is the only essay paper we had, so kalau nak tembak, mmg tak boleh. goreng je boleh. tp kalau bahan tak cukup, nak goreng ape?? tp masa exam biochem, i really felt like bantuan Allah datang mencurah2 dalam exam hall. Alhamdulillah, mmg dipermudahkan untuk menjawab soalan. benarlah kata org, berserahlah seluruhnya kepada Allah setelah berusaha, dan yakinlah Allah akan membantu.
however, even though musculoskeletal & physio were both using MCQ format, tp they appear to be much harder than biochem! huhu......just hope i'd pass. i don't really care about CSI. in fact, other than learning about history taking & stuff; i can't find any other solid reason why we should have this module. blaja pakai MS power point? MS excel? bits? byte? pixel? crap. yeah, i do think it's kinda important for a doctor to know bout that sort of stuff, but to get tested for that? NO.
after biochem, i just lost all the mood to study. as if i'v pushed to the max for biochem, and i just cant absorb anything else after that. which had impacted my matrices & vector exam last Monday. oh well..haha.
we were supposed to have BTED exam today at 6 pm. but holly yeah, all exam after 6 pm yesterday were deferred to next year due to heavy snow! never will this happen in Malaysia. i just love this place. snows hard - campus closed. snows hard - exam postponed. hahahaha...patutlah hilang mood nak blaja BTED. lol. thank you ALLAH for the snow. though i hate that it snows heavily again in Dublin.
during exam period, i would burn the midnight oil and look like zombie the next day. every second counts. for the sake of passing the exam. now that i have all the time in the world, all of a sudden i don't have much to do! haha. oh self, please change. no more procrastination please! don't u ever learn from mistakes?? huhu
goshhh..i don't know what's gonna happen to my 1st sem result. i just pray i won't fail any module. oh Allah, that is all that im asking.
