SVUH attachment

I was attached to Endocrine Department in St. Vincent's University Hospital for the past 2 weeks. When I first know that i'll be in Endo team, i was like..oh nooo, why must endo?? The consultant look so garang some more.

Turns out that i enjoyed every bit of my time with Endo team. All the doctors, nurses, registrars, SHOs, Consultant in Endo team were among the nicest people i've ever met!
Learnt so many things in such short period of time, especially when we're in Clinics.
And not to forget all the lovely patients we met. They not only willingly cooperate with us baby doctors, but some of them even gave us mini talks, well you know..on philosophical life advice.

My attachment partner, Emilia; who's been ever so helpful when im all blur and out of place when it comes to those medical stuffs. Also a great company who can talk just about anything!

An advert in front of SVUH. I see what you did there Mater.

The last 4 nerds on the 'last' afternoon of our 2 weeks attachment.

i heard some of our friends ponteng quite a good few days during the attachment period, saying there's nothing much to do, and that the doctors are all busy and won't layan them. But, it's actually our own initiative to find things to do, to learn new things. After all, we're only given 2 weeks to experience how things are run in an Irish hospital. So why waste the golden opportunity?

Given an 'amazing race' task by the Endo intern on the very 1st day of attachment. Getting lost in that huge hospital. Bleep-ed the doctors when we're left clueless of things to do. Nervously practicing some basic clinical skills on real patients while the registrar watch you do it. Handled a few unexpected incident while taking patient history. Various different interesting cases. Etc.

It was definitely an enriching experience!
