Of cotton bud and T

All these while my cotton bud stock is from Malaysia. However, cotton bud is the one thing i forgot to bring back to Dublin last September. Since im running out of cotton bud, i went to Centra to get some. But, i can't seem to find it there. 

Then suddenly i saw something that looks like cotton bud except that the cotton is only at one end instead of the usual two cotton ends. So i naively 'belek-belek' that small box and thought, "hmmm maybe this is cotton bud Irish style." 

i ALMOST bought it; until i saw small writing at the edge of the box that reads: TAMPONS.
